Tribute to Thomas Lux & Reception

Please join us as we celebrate the life and work of Thomas Lux on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at 4 p.m.

Thomas Lux was the Margaret T. and Henry C. Bourne, Jr. Chair in Poetry in the Ivan Allen College School of Literature, Media, and Communication, and the director of Poetry@Tech, a leading showcase for poetry for the Southeast. He published 19 books of poetry, and his work appeared in more than 55 anthologies. 

Lux, a faculty member at Georgia Tech since 2001, died on February 5, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was 70.

A memorial for Lux will take place from 4 - 6 p.m. in the Klaus Auditorium, and it will be preceded by a reception from 2:30 - 3:45 p.m. in the atrium area.

Poetry@Tech events are open to the public with no tickets or reservations required. Plenty of free parking is available just in front of the building's entrance or through the gate, which is straight ahead as you turn off 10th street.
